In a valley, there lies a quiet and beautiful village. It's perfection, hadn't it been for the darkness that lurks around the edges, kept away by a mysterious wizard they call the Dragon. Review:
After hearing so many good things about this book, I've finally finished it, and I found it to be very enjoyable. It is fascinating and extremely fast-paced.

There are a lot of elements in this book to keep in order at all times, and I can imagine that it's a little much to some readers. I, however, really enjoyed it. I really loved the world this is set in. I think perhaps I would've enjoyed a little more time to get to know some of the places, as the story moves so quickly. I think it could have been spaced out a little more, and not just run straight from one conflict to the next. I would have loved this book to have 200 more pages, just so we could breathe a little bit.

I thought the magic system and especially the terrifying wood to be my favorite elements. And I must say, it was enticing enough for me to not want to put it down. I held of from picking it up unless I knew I had time to read at least a hundred pages, because when I picked it up, all I wanted to do was finish it.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy and magic.
