Review:
Now, I usually highly enjoy weird books with a bit of grimness to it, but I'm afraid this didn't quite win me over.

The writing in this is lovely and is my favorite part - there are loads of beautiful metaphors and descriptions. However, I didn't really find the characters that relatable, they didn't quite feel real for me I'm afraid and I had a really hard time connecting to anyone.

This is one of those books that I feel like I get, I see what's trying to be done, but it just didn't really have that much of an impact on me. I felt it was rather predictable and a bit boring because of that.

I will definitely try another one of Mishimas books though, as I did quite enjoy the writing. Overall though, this was just ok.
