Review:
This was a quirky and interesting tale.

Generally, I quite enjoyed this book and I think it's well written and well translated. The setting is interesting and is brought to life without overly explaining anything and I really liked the themes of things sort of falling apart, which the magical realism aspects helps add to, and the theme of being young and directionless.

I also liked the characters, although it did take a while for me to feel a connection to them, and I think that has something to do with reading only a chapter of this book here and there. I think this would've perhaps been better to read in one go, so I might have to reread it.

It's a quiet, sad and atmospheric book. It's a bit odd as well, and definitely worth the read if you like these kinds of books.
